Swans and clouds and trees, oh my!
Well, I went for a ride last week. I know, what else is new? But the sun was shining, there were beautiful clouds, and the trees were really changing color.
This is by the Grand River. This, and all the others, look better when you click on them and choose all sizes in Flickr. The large version shows them off much better.
Here's where it's imperative to see the large version if you want to see the swans. Even if you can't see the swans, I love the reflection of the clouds in the water.
Though you can only see three here, there were a pair of swans with their three (full-sized) babies.
Distant swans.
Then I had to get shots of the different trees.
But this one really thrilled me. The only thing that has been changed in this photo is that Kitty used Photoshop to take the telephone line out. Please click on this one even if you didn't on the others. The rainbows are really something.

I believe I've seen those called "god clouds" elsewhere. Nice shutterbuggin', sis.
And no dead aviatrix' bones anywhere in sight. Can I take my fingers out of my ears now?
Thanks, Bucky! God clouds, I really like that.
Yes, you may take your fingers out of your ears. No aviatrix' bones. Unless there's something in the barn where you, um, put that note.
Down with telephone lines! I really like DSCN0961.
Those are fantastic lady, I cant even think of anything dirty to say...
Thanks, Mr B! I just love the fall colors.
Jess, thanks! That's really a compliment!
Lovely photos, darlin ... and yeah, "God Clouds" really is the perfect turn of phrase.
Oh, God ... now LOOK where she put her fingers. BAD Bucky! BAD!
Nilbo, thank you! You probably have cool-looking stuff like this in your area, too. God clouds is a great term.
Yes, well, there's just no telling where Bucky's fingers might end up.
WOW and I mean WOW ~ Like Bucky said, God Clouds, no doubt about it. All the others are just beautiful too. Keep taking picture Squirl, you do it so well . . . and then I get to see them. Thanks!
Thanks, Nanina! I always hope people won't get bored by my posting of pictures here. I just love it so much. I'm hoping there will be things photo-worthy in the winter, too. Thanks again.
Yay!! Squirl's pics!! The colors in the broad shot of the woods are fantastic! Of course I was hoping you'd take a picture of the actual bones. A girl really can't get enough bone pictures.
doesnt michigan in the fall just rock?
Eclectic, thanks. The bodies are Bucky's side of the story. I don't think she was thinking of bones when she wrote that. I think I see her fingers going back in her ears.
OperaGal, hi! Yes, it does. It's so gorgeous here that it takes my breath away on a daily basis.
Once again your photos are amazing. You guys get out to the best places.
Bucky, I only mentioned ears. Did anybody say anything about pants....?
Kranki, thank you! West Michigan, especially by the river and lakeshore, has some really beautiful scenery. I don't want the East side to feel bad. I just don't get over there very often so I don't see it.
Thank you for the tour again Squil. Beautiful shots. I will take a tour of your flickr account this afternoon.
Beautiful pictures, Squirl!
And that last one is just breathtaking!
Love the pics! Never bored with such pretty fall pics!
August, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks
Ladybug, thank you! I was so pleased to be in the right place at the right time for that last one.
Effie, good because I have a few more of them. :-)
Thanks!
I love the pictures!
Very beautiful.
What happened to Kitty? I miss her Blog. :o(
Chia, are you dissin' the Kitty? LOL Thanks about the pictures!
MD, thanks! And Kitty is in a better place now.
Hi! It's almost the weekend--woohoo! Happy weekend :)
Effie, woo hoo! And I love your new profile pic! Is that from working on your garage?
I finally took time to go through and see them up close. These are absolutely glorious. Thank you for sharing. You make me want to get outside.
Susie, thank you and you're welcome. Please do make sure you get out and see the colors before they're gone in your area.
Chia, glad to be your outdoors.
Okay those pictures are unbelievably beautiful and I thank you for taking them.
Amy, thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Nature just lends itself to making wonderful photos.
Oh these are beautiful!
The blue sky in those first few are just terrific.
And the prism effect on the last one really is lovely.
Thank you, Danielle. You're such a good photographer so I really appreciate it.
