Time

As in, it's time for a new post. I made no New Year's resolutions. But I did sign up for a yoga class at work. It's Mondays and Wednesdays for seven weeks during lunchtime. I will work toward my health, but I won't make it official with a resolution.

I'd love to do yoga. I wish they had a class for middle-aged, overweight 'mo's.

Yay for you, Squirl-Bob!

Yoga looks fun. Kora took some kids yoga in her afterschool program last year.

My new year's resolution was to beat GTA San Andreas, and I did that yesterday. Now what do I do?

Mr B, yes, really subtle.

Jim, let's see, I'm middle-aged, a bit overweight, and like to have sex with guys. Sounds like you should have yoga class with me. :-)

Chia, we'll have to see about that.

Tweety, it's so good for your flexibility. And muscles in my arms are hurting today, so you get some strength training, too.

Bucky, now what I do wif???
I know, resolve to take more kitteh pictures!

Oh, I'm lining up a barrage of kitteh pictures, in Mr. B's honor. Because I know he can't get enough of my cat photos.

Has yoga started yet? Do you like it? Huh, huh, huh? I like yoga and after a long hiatus of taking a class get very sore (in a good way) and all relaxed. Hope you like it!

Yoga sounds great. I can't wait to hear about it.

Ern, I do like yoga. So far I'm feeling pretty wimpy, though. It's not just that my body's not flexible, but this stupid cold has taken everything out of me.

Bucky, you must post them in his honor.

Danielle, thanks, I'm trying!

Jenski, you aren't kidding about being sore. I feel muscles where I didn't even realize there were muscles. :-)

Kranki, I'll try not to be cranky about it. :-)

I agree. I don't do resolutions either. We just bought a Total Gym, but I'm not making any promises to myself. I'll just play it by ear. ;)

Oooooo, a sneaky non-resolution resolution. I like those; you can pretend they are not there. Good luck with the yoga!

tshsmom, it's absolutely the best way to go. And good luck on your nonresolution to exercise.

Lady, I hope to have fun. Right now I'm just really, really sore.

htgt, I can always pretend it's not there. But, if I do eat right and exercise and lose the rest of the weight (btw, I've lost 15 pounds since last March) then I can still be proud of my results.

You live your life in forward motion, so you don't need resolutions. Resolutions are for people who don't; people who believe that change and growth can only happen for three weeks at the beginning of each new year. I like your way better!

Good on you, Squirl. Stumpy and I are attempting a new healthy eating and exercise regime. Also not a resolution but it needs to be done. Good luck with the yoga!

Shari, thanks! That's absolutely sweet. I've just always hated resolutions. If I'm going to do something, then I'll do it. To heck with setting false expectations at an arbitrarily set date.

Platypus, good luck to you and Stumpy on the healthy eating. That's such a great basis for overall health.
