Hey, it's my turn to be the girl!
I was just watching the movie Funny Girl. If you've read my profile you'll know that I like show tunes and musicals. I also like to sing. I love to belt out any Barbra Streisand tune.
Bucky's friend, LT, whom she mentioned in an earlier post is a definitely-gay-and-happy-that-way kind of guy. He also has a very good singing voice. I used to like to sing the songs from Funny Girl with him. He sang a fine Nicky Arnstein.
The problem was that he would always cut in on me and start doing his falsetto version of Barbra Streisand. I had to keep stopping him and reminding him that I got to be the girl this time!

Well, that's certainly better than having to remind your husband that it's your turn to be the girl. Now that would be a problem.
When I was in first grade, one of the little girls in my class ALWAYS wanted to be the BIG BROTHER when we played "house." I've thought about her several times over the years, and wondered how that turned out.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
Yeah, "Ichabod" never wants to be the girl where it counts, thank goodness for me. However, he is never averse to holding my purse for me in public. :-)
And there's nothing wrong with that, either.

No offense, but Ichabod looks darling with your purse.
Hey, Bucky's back online. Hope you had a good time at the jacuzzi place! And Ichabod says my purses are never feminine looking enough.
hmmmm... you read all the time (including Robert Jordan books), love to sing show tunes (including Barbara Streisand), and have a nickname of squirl.
I'd say "are we twins", but that is just too scary. (my parents' nickname for me is occasionally lil' squirrel but more often lil' chicken - yes, I am the youngest. So, I am NOT big squirrel or big chicken, that would be my older sister.)
I'm glad you are blogging. :-)
ever hear the musical "Pins and Needles" starring yuor very own Babs? I have it on vinyl.
No, Opera, I didn't know about that one. I'm jillis.
i SO cannot type well. squirl, we have the technology to let you listen - I do work for a company that has recording studio, web hosting, and an Internet radio station. My radio show is just my volunteer gig. :)
Opera, you're one busy person. I'll check out your site. I did see links there. Thanks!
