The moon over the willows

I had a meeting at work today that started at 1:30. I was told that it probably wouldn't take the full two hours that was scheduled. Well, that information was sooooo wrong. It was after 4:00 (my quitting time) when the meeting finally let out. I got back to my desk and was hoping to make a quick getaway.

Why, oh why did I have to go to the bathroom? As I was leaving and getting ready to go back and pack up to leave I got caught by someone who'd been in that long meeting with me. He had another 10 minutes worth of crap he wanted to talk about.

Well, I managed to pull myself away and all I could think about was getting the hell out of there. But as I was pulling out of the driveway I found I had to stop and back up because what I saw looked so pretty to me.

I love it when the moon shows in the middle of the day. This shot over the willows was too much to miss. It's kinda hard to see in the first shot. It's a little easier in the second shot. If you really want to see the moon you might have to click on the picture and then choose All Sizes.

Hi, chia, isn't it a gorgeous one?

I am just glad I didn't have any appointments this afternoon.

Pretty scenery!
Sorry you had one of *those* meetings, but I see you took the opportunity to take a few fine photos of your surroundings. :o)

Recently I have had several days reminding I don't control them. I wish I could remember early on that I don't control them so I can go with the flow and let 'er ride. Not fair! :P

Kranki, you're so right!

MD, thanks!

August, thanks! That was not even close to a chatty comment. Besides, I like chatty comments. :-)

Mr B, those days really suck.

Ya know, it's usually the ones with a nagging wife/kids/husband at home that catch us on the way out the door. Sometimes I just want to yell "JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR LIFE DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU CAN KEEP THE REST OF US HERE AWAY FROM OUR OWN."

Or something like that :)

The Cheshire cat is smilin' atcha there! I love to see the moon in the daytime--so pretty!

Yeah, I always wonder about the people who can't stop talkin' at work, who won't leave, and who won't let you leave, either.
And you know who are the chattiest work blabbers? MEN. I've seen two guys where I work just go on about absolutely nothing in their ongoing pissing match, and I usually get caught in the crossfire. STOP SPLASHING ME!

Oh, sorry...love the moon pix. Just had to vent. No offense to men.

That was a long meeting . . . I don't like long meetings.
I do love your pictures and yes I can see the moon.

Chia, you might be on to something.

Effie, I like the idea that the moon there is like the Cheshire Cat's smile. Thanks!

Bucky, vent away! I feel the same way. Just watch out for the splashing. Glad you liked the moon pics.

Nanina, long meetings do suck. I have other things to do, yes, even at work. :-) Thanks

Cool photo! And I hear you about the meeting stuff. Sometimes you just want to dash away like you're you're on the lam and any attempts to talk to you should be left to the feds.

I agree with Chia. Get a life people, or as Bucky put it: Don't splash me!
My "home" time is at a premium, so I don't need people wasting my precious time.

Hey, Jim, thanks! Yeah, I should say I'm in the witness protection program and can't talk to anybody. ;-)

Amber, thanks!

Eclectic, *blush*, you caught me. *giggling*

Effie, who me??? No......

tshsmom, I hate having to stay late for stupid stuff like that.

I also love when the moon is out during the day, makes me think about how peaceful it will be soon when the sun goes down. Ahhhh dark.

Ern, thanks. It did give me a minute to breathe and relax before I hit the highway and started getting pissed off at the drivers. :-)

Jess, I love the moon in the sky during the day. Of course, since I get up at 5:30 am, dark means I have to go to sleep. :-(

I'm so glad you went back for that shot, Squirl. I love to see the moon during the day, too. I always point it out to the girls. And it's even prettier against such a clear, blue sky.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

This is why you should always carry a gavel and rap it upside the head of anyone trying to continue the meeting after crossing the finish line.

Thank you, again, squirl. You always share your pretty things with us :) I love the moon, too.

Sounds like a lot of brainy ideas fly around on Bucky's job, doesn't it?

Bone Machine, that's just way too tempting.

Susie, you're welcome.

I think brainy ideas fly around a lot. We all try not to get splashed. :-)
