I'm going to be traveling tomorrow to go for some training. Not sure how much blogging ability I'll have. I'll will do what I can.
Went for another ride together. It's getting to be close enough to springtime that some birds are passing through and some are here for breeding purposes. I was extremely excited to see about 9 or 10 Sandhill Cranes fly in for a landing. I couldn't get any good pictures so please check the links.
Then I saw quite a few Bufflehead swimming. I also saw a pair of Osprey flying. And I saw a couple of wild turkeys. Those I got a picture of.
So, everybody enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll get around to see you as I can.

Such nice pictures! I went to the nature center here and got some nice pictures i'll be posting soon. I love being out in the woods.
Thanks, Lawbrat! I want to see your pictures, too.
Wow..those're cool. I love wild birds..even the ugly ones are beautiful.
Jim, yeah, I love the turkeys. Their heads are kinda ugly, but their feather have a bronze-like sheen in the light. They're just cool.
birds, bleck!
Oh I love birds . . . it is spring in Colorado so we have snow. March, April, and May are when we get the most snow down here at the base of the foothills. So the birds are hiding, and I can't say I blame them. Thanks for sharing your pictures Squirl.
I saw these in your flickr account and thought they rocked then and now lol. Great pictures... big birds :)
OMG! Sandhill cranes and buffleheads and osprey are like three of my favorite birds. (I think I have at least 25 or 30 favorites, though.)
Hope your traveling went well. Your ride sounds as if it wa wonderful. I have been thinking about cranes ever since I saw the PBS special on training the younsters to fly south to Florida for the winter. If you saw cranes, does that mean that winter is finally over? I hope!
Mr B, I'm sorry, I know about your aversion to birds. But these are not caged birds that will attack you in your home, really!
Nina, you're welcome. Well it's been raining and yesterday was sunny and into the 60s. Now we're supposed to get snow this week. But spring is definitely on the way.
August, thanks, yes are very big.
Ern, tee hee. I know what you mean. This was probably one of the best viewings I've ever had of the sandhill cranes, too.
Nick, the second flight was a little bumpy, but not bad. I made it to the hotel okay, taxi ride and all. :-)
I sure hope that winter is over. Not my favorite season but it does lead to spring. :-)
I'm putting my pics up now. It'll take a few to get the post done, but some turned out so well. There is one that is my favorite. Hunter pointed out this...bush? without leaves, and the branches were all different colors. I've never seen anything like it, and hoped that it would turn out. IT DID!!
The pictures of 2 deer? Didnt turn out so well. :-(
Glad you made it there OK. You better blog, brat. I demand it!
Hi, Chia, thank you!
Lawbrat, I have to come over and check them out. :-)
Bucky, thanks. And yes, I will I promise. But it's too late tonight. I will tomorrow, with pictures.
Did someone say "Wild Turkey"? Why, thank you!! Don't mind if I do. *heh*
Chia, that's so sweet. I miss you guys too. Sorry you to ALL BY MYSELF all by yourself. And I missed a trip to B&N. That just ain't right.
Eclectic, grab a glass, dear. :-)
It's tomorrow.
*looking at watch*
*tapping foot*
Hi, Bucky, now it's the day after tomorrow...
I saw a whole bunch of 'new' birds on Friday. It felt like spring, since one of them was a tree full of robins!
Of course, then we got all of this snow....
... must be confusing for the birds.
Danielle, I've seen robins come back early and have to weather nasty storms. Hope they're all okay.
