Routine, for some

Tomorrow I'm going for a routine test. At least, it's routine if you have insurance. I'm getting a mammogram. Most likely everything is fine. It's just peace of mind for another year.

But there are a lot of women who don't have insurance. They can't afford this kind of peace of mind. Because of this I click here every day. Some of you already do, but if you don't, please try to take the time. It's easy, it's free. Every day it gives some women a chance for a mammogram. It only costs you a very small amount of time.

Thanks!

Quick update: My exam turned out to be totally routine, as I expected it would, and I'm good to go until next year. :)

Um, how about some sunset pictures?

Yes, I have made time to find a sunset. My house is too low get really good ones. I have to walk or drive to get really good ones. This is one I got earlier this week.

I might try to get another one tonight. We don't have many more sunny days in the forecast right now.

A Color Quiz

Okay, I decided to do a quiz. It was kinda fun. I found it through Courtney who found it through DMMGMFM.

VIOLET

A little get-away

Well, it's work-related, but I get the evenings free. I got over here to Madison, WI on Sunday. Bucky came up to join me for the day. We walked around State Street with all the cool little stores and restaurants. Of course, we brought our cameras! Did you think we wouldn't?

These mannequins cracked us up.

Madison is the state capitol. Here's the capitol building in the middle of a bright, sunny day.

We've decided that if we're ever here again we should check this store out.

You could say we were really havin' a ball.

Bucky noticed this one first, but I had to get pictures, too.

Then tonight I did some more walking and got evening pictures.

Bone, this is one of the reasons why we look down when we walk. ;)

I just liked this one.

Personhole Covers

Last summer, before we moved from Grand Rapids, I noticed that there were a lot of different types of manhole covers around town. Just before we moved I got out there and finally got some shots.

With the move, and the deaths in the family, I haven't gotten my act together until now to post them.

This is the one that got me started. I love the pattern. I also like the partially uncovered cobblestone around it.

I liked the rust and the cobblestone on this one.

I agree with my sister that Ameritech is kinda artsy.
DSCN2768

This one has a picture of the Calder and I thought it was kinda cool, so I included it.
DSCN2840

This one's kinda cool, too.

And here's the guy who encouraged me to take these pictures. It's in this set because the bottom step is metal.

You know...

Some days you just have to make your own sunshine.
