Fun, fun, fun

On Sunday I flew from Grand Rapids to Detroit then from Detroit to Madison, WI. Yes, if you are good at geography or have a map handy you will see that I had to go east before I could go west. But I can't complain too loudly as the connecting flight gave me enough time to grab a slice of unhurried pizza and get over to the gate about ten minutes before my boarding time. The bag that I checked even made it. Cross your fingers for me that it'll make it back with me as well. :-)

As much as the flight was uneventful, the rest of the day wasn't. And I'm not talking about the severe storms and wind that came up later. No foks, Jessica Rabbit and the Bobblehead Hillbilly came up to pick me up. Then they took me back to their place to visit and meet all the wonderful little beings with whom they share their abode.

We all had a great time, especially the cats and dogs. They know when there's a new person in their midst who can't resist petting them. Here is the pictorial of my visit. :-)

DSCN1334 Here are Hermione and Moo being distracted by cheese.

DSCN1335 Here's the wonderful old man Roo showing me how excited he is to see me.

DSCN1336 Moo lips and Hermione belly.

DSCN1337 The girls playing nice.

DSCN1339 Eleven decided she'd stroll through occasionally.

DSCN1342 Wobbles hung around a lot.

DSCN1343 But Nala didn't.

DSCN1344 Is that a pretty mask or what? I didn't mean to cut off her head but I didn't have much time to focus and shoot before she was too close to get a shot.

DSCN1345 Here Jess is trying to save me from the girls.

DSCN1352 Vicious, vicious dogs fighting over and empty water bottle.

DSCN1356 At this point they seemed to be ready to rest for a moment.

Then it was off to dinner where the food stared at me.

There are a few more pictures on Flickr. You can click on any of these and it will take you there.

I wanna thank Jess and Nick for being wonderful hosts and it was a great time!

Ooooh, you got Sainted!

I'm very disappointed that Eleven didn't pee on you, though. Or are you holdin' out for that story later?

Did you, ummm...did you give Wobbles that popsicle I sent along?

Hi Bucky! Eleven did not pee on me. She keeps that for special people.

Sorry about the popsicle. I let it melt before I got there. It was something along the lines of "someone left the cake out in the rain..."

So much fun . . . glad you had a great visit. I am thinking about this melting popsicle and now can't get the cake out in the rain song out of my head. Could make for a long day. :)

Awwwww..cuteness on the doggies. That food thing was scary a bit. I probably would have burst into tears and asked for a Happy Meal.

Looks like you had a good time in the Wild Kingdom, there, Marlin Perkins.

Oooh, I am SO jealous. Now you and Bucky have BOTH gotten to see Jess's girls in person! (And, umm...it's quite possible that when I say "girls", I don't mean her Saint Bernards. Hee.)

Great pics, Squirl!

Nina, oops, sorry about the song. Thanks! :-)

Jim, dogs were cute, food was scary. Yes, I did.

Mr B, amazing what they can do with wasabi and a few pieces of vegetables, eh?

Ladybug, all the girls appeared to be doing fine. ;-)

Thanks!

Chia, yeah, it made for a very enjoyable comparison to sitting in training.

And my word ver is what Ninny and Moo kept trying to give me: kszss

Ninny and Moo about took you out on the porch, but they meant it with the best of the best of their little betard hearts.

They also were really trying to give you that spit mohawk, but thats just how they say they love you.

That dragon roll was hella yummy. I didnt eat his face though, seemed wrong. Plus his eyes? Totally made of octopus tentacle. Raw octopus tentacle. Ew.

Wobbles was SO showing off for you on the steps, Look how pretty I am! And now one more person can confirm that Weebles is nuts.

Im glad you had fun lady, we had a really great time. Me, Nick, the girls, the cats, everyone.

Oh and the boys thought you were cool, and they asked me if you were Buckys older or younger sister and I said older and then said really? (sorry bucky, get your hair out of your face one of these days :) )

Hi, Jess! Yeah, the dogs were trying to knock me down right from the start, but I know it's because they couldn't wait to see me.

That dragon roll might've tasted good, but the head was kinda skirry. I didn't know the eyes were raw octopus tentacle. Yuck!

Wobbles was really cute. He was playing on the steps with that feather toy. Weebles got in on that a bit, too. But, yes, she is crazy. Cute, but crazy.

I'm glad you guys all had fun. And that's neat that the boys thought I was cool. They were pretty into their games. Bucky is not gonna be really happy about the age thing, though. It's the hair in the face, absolutely. Bucky, quit covering up that pretty face.

tshsmom, working for corporate America does, occasionally, have a nice payoff. You have to put up with a lot of office politics in the meantime, though.

Kranki, I'm sorry you're jillis. Maybe when you're feeling better you go for a visit, too. Just don't tell Yoshi. ;-)

***pouting***

The Midwest is ignoring my petition to move closer to to the Pac NW. I shall have to get more drastic.

But, dragon roll? Nuh-uh. Food should not stare -- it's rude.

OH SNAP!

Heh, actually, Jess' boys wouldn't be the first to think you were the younger seester.

But I don't take offense to it.

Sorry, Eclectic, I think the Midwest has a really strong union, or maybe it's something about logistics. I wish we were closer, too. And you are so right about food not staring. I'm not even always fond of whole lobster for that reason.

Bucky, I think the last time anybody really thought I was younger was back when we were, like, teenagers or something...

Sorry, toots - you and I were never teenagers at the same time! :)

Glad you had such a great time with Ms. Rabbit and Bobblehead. Now tell me: what is it about flying from Michigan? After my #2 son spent at summer working at Isle Royale National Park, he flew back to where he was living in Texas. The route took him from Houghton, MI, east to Cincinnati, OH, before he could get on a plan to fly southwest to Texas.

P.S. ~ great pics!

Nick, you snuck in. Nothing seems to be straight from one place to another from Michigan. Is it because it's a peninsula? I just don't know. And thanks!
