Even more winterish out there

I don't know if you can tell how much deeper the snow is than in my previous post. There was a lot more snowing and high winds. With the temps in the single digits, at best, the roads have been icy and no fun either.

Snow, snow go away, don't come back any other day!

We got dumped on overnight as well, but probably not as badly as you guys got it.

Oh, I can't wait to drive over in that! :)

I'm telling you, SNOW SHOES!! You can walk anywhere on TOP of the snow, and it's fun!! That said, sorry it's snowing on your parade. I know you hate it, and I wish I could make it stop. Stay warm!

JDR, really the opposite of your weather, isn't it?

Tweets, is that wind chill? We've had bad wind chill temps, but nothing quite that low.

Bucky, be careful out there!

Eclectic, yeah, right now temps above 20 would feel balmy. And the salt would help melt the ice off of the streets. Work's a little too far for me to snowshoe. :D

Kranki, thanks, I'm taking it one step at a time, so to speak...

Mr B, I'll try not to send any of this weather down your way.

Yes that is the wind chill but still cold. BRRRRRRR!!!LOL.. I have to say one thing though. We have our heat in the house on 68 and havent had to turn it up yet so we are doing good. Our house is nice and insulated. The only thing that gets cold on me is my feet and then I am done for. So socks and slippers until bed and then I cant stand sleeping them. Teh constrict around my ankles. Well anyway that is besides the point here again. Its suppose to be warm back up to the +30 next week. So just a few more days of this cold stuff. Later Tweets.

Take a broom or shovel handle and write WINTER SUCKS in the snow. Word has it that some deviant in Kentucky did that years ago.

No names, please.

Would it be mean for me to tell you it's been in the 70s and very spring-like here?

Yes, I guess it would. Hee.

If it makes you feel any better, we're expecting a cold front tonight, and it'll probably down in the 50s tomorrow.

Wow! We've got the relatively cold temperatures and strong winds, but the snow is only a couple of inches. I shall be very glad when winter is over!

Tweets, 30 degrees sounds wonderful right now!

Bone, some deviant, huh?

Susie, thanks!

Ladybug, yes, that's very, very mean. Actually, I'm glad for you guys. Next summer we'll have the moderate temps and you'll be roasting. It's just a trade-off.

Nick, you and me both!

We made it to 39 today and some of the snow is melting. Sorry we sent this crap your way. We are expecting more snow on Friday. We still have snow on the ground . . . only some of it melted. Drive careful . . .

You've got us beat on snow now. I don't think you want to shoot for our record with the cold though...it's been -25F to -30F all week, and that's without the windchill!

Platypus, I sure hope you don't!

Nina, I'm glad you're getting warmer now. We're used to not having all of the snow melted until into Spring here.

tshsmom, I can't stand that kind of cold, either. You guys are brave to live in that kind of cold.

Laurie, I wish none of us had to have this much snow.

That's crazy! I wish the country would spread a little of the moisture our way. (I know better than to wish for actual cold!)

I, well, no, make that "the deviant" snapped a photo but it was dark and some of the W got cropped. Otherwise, we could probably coax said deviant into posting it someday.

Tweets, I was just reading your slams on Vest over at tshsmom's. He really needs to shut up and go home.

Ern, smart woman! Never ask for the cold. But spreading the preciptation is a good thing.

Danielle, I know you've been through winter hell, too, this year. We'll both be happy to have winter done.

Effie, cold isn't very good either. I'm glad you didn't get the extra snow. Now that it's not so cold our neighbor will snowblow for us again. :)

Bone, please, please, please get that wonderful deviant to post the picture!

They said on the news yesterday that Upstate New York may have 100 inches (!!!) of snow by Sunday. Now THAT oughta make you feel better about your own snowy situation.

Miss Attitude and I saw that news piece on the hospital TV, and I was trying to give her a little perspective on how much snow that actually is...

Me: 100 inches! That's like...let's see...100 divided by 12 is...that's over 8 feet of snow! That's taller than a basketball player!

MA: Like...what's his name? Michael Jordan?

Me: Yes! The snow would be taller than Michael Jordan!

I dont know if to take those slams on vest as a compliment or not but I will. He is just a grumpy old man with nothing else to do and bother us girls and guys. I am just finishing packing for this weekend. I feel great except for my head and sinuses feel like they are ready to explode. I will be fine and have plenty of pix of this weekend for you all to see. Hope all is well.

Ladybug, snow taller than Michael Jordan is way more than snow than I ever need. Well, not that I ever need any. Glad Miss A made it through the day okay.

Tweets, yeah, he could be just a lonely old man. Too bad that's the only way he thinks he can get attention.

So sorry you're head hurts. Did you take your Sudafed? Have fun!
