Sunset pics for your weekend enjoyment
I went back out to the river and it durned freezing cold again! This time I had insulated boots, though. Here are some of the shots. If you want to see them all then click here for the set.
You can see here that the water was frozen.

OOh and Aaah. I'll have to "favorite" some of these. And I just wanted to say, I'm an ENFP, too. Used to be INFP, but I deliberately worked at becoming just a tiny bit more E. ;)
Susie, thanks! You must've been over at Nick's place. I'm glad you worked at the E. One of the ways that proves I'm an E is that I've talked out loud to myself since I was able to talk. Besides being outgoing the E in Meyers Briggs means externalizing rather than internalizing. But, you probably already knew that. :-)
What kind of personality runs through church in assless chaps?
(Bee-yoo-teeful pics, sis!)
Hmmm, Bucky, let's see. ENFP Exhibitionist, Nihilistic, Flippant, Prurient.
Thanks!
Absolutely STUNNING!! I love the pic of the cracked river, with the sunset colored trees.
squirl, actually, I didn't know that. I only thought in terms of extrovert and introvert. I am more of an extrovert than I used to be, but still very much an internalizer. Hmmm.
tshsmom, thanks! I liked that one because of the dark pink on the foliage, too.
Susie, yeah, that surprised me too. I thought it only meant extroverted behavior.
Durned old frozen water.
I'm an ISFJ - I hope I can change that though! It's great when you're a PA but not so great in my new role.
Anyway, the pictures are wonderful! My favourite is the beautiful one of the ice with all the cracks running across it. Just breathtaking!
Beautiful photos! :o)
Mr B, yup, frozen as can be.
Platypus, I'm not sure if I know what your new role is. But ISFJ sounds like someone who could be capable of doing anything she sets her mind to.
And thanks!
Thanks, MD!
Oh, those are breathtaking! Literally -- it looks cold enough to take your breath away! My favorite is the second-to-last one. Just sublime!!!
I haven't taken the Meyers-Briggs for 20 years, but back then, I was ENTJ, with both the T and the J being just barely over the line, and both the E and the N nearly pegged to the outter-most extreme. I'd be curious to see if it has changed over the years.
Eclectic, thanks!
The F in my ENFP was off the scale the first time I took the test. The others were a bit closer.
What an absolutely amazing set of photos. #4 (cracked ice) is especially amazing. I'd hang that on my wall in a heartbeat.
Ha ha, baby pizza - I AM an ENFP.
Kranki, thanks! I had to make sure I added that one. Otherwise, it looks like there's open water.
JDR, thanks! I fully intend to put a picture of my boots up. They would've been up already, but they were out in the car at the time and I was just too lazy to go out and get them.
Bucky, and you're all like I am an ENFP.
Wow! Those pictures are gorgeous!
I've never taken the Meyers Briggs test, so I have no clue what my test results would indicate. My son says I'm quirky...but I don't think that's a psychological diagnosis. ;-)
Beautiful shots, Squirl! The third one is my favorite. Just lovely. And definitely frame-worthy.
Wow! those are gorgeous. I particularly love the one with the cracked ice.
Pinks
Laurie, thanks!
I found this test site http://similarminds.com/
I don't know how accurate it is, but Bucky took it and ended up an ENFP. I think that quirky is an admirable trait and definitely not in the DSM IV or whichever one they're using these days. :)
Ladybug, I like the ones with the star-type rays, too. Thanks!
Hi, Reverend, thanks for stopping by. I see you over at Nick's all the time. I'm glad you like the ice-cracks pic. I just checked it out on Flickr again in the large size. There is a lot of pink, which, I take it, is a favorite color of yours. :)
Squirl, as usual the photos are magnificent. You are going to invite me to you next gallery show, aren’t you?
Nick, thanks, you're so sweet! If I ever get pictures in a gallery you will definitely be invited. :)
Those are just breathtaking! You take the best pictures. Words can't do them justice.
I'm finally getting to take a look at these with decent light and I must say, I really love this set. You've got some gorgeous shots. Of course, the reflection of the sun in one or two is particularly phallic - and I'm surprised no one mentioned that - but the photos are still nice. ;-)
I like the second to last one the best though. The way the clouds are lit and change as they are lower or higher in the sky is just so pretty.
I also really like the one looking across the land where there is that rainbow effect of color. I always like that part of when the sun goes down too.
Nina, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed them. I'm glad I was allowed to see it and share it.
Danielle, thank you. I wondered why no one had mentioned the upside down Washington Monument. ;)
I almost didn't include the one you say has the rainbow effect, but I do really like it even if it isn't as dramatic as the others. And the color at the end is really lovely. The temp was really getting cold, but I had to wait for that part.
I liked them all. I dont think I had a favorite. I like how the sun reflected through the clouds and stuff. I have no idea what you guys are talking about being ENFP's but all I can tell you is that I love to be around people. Usually the more people the better.I have always liked crowds. But anyway. Beautiful pix. I have a few from this last summer that I had posted about two months ago. We had some pretty good storms come through and my husband took some pix of the clouds either before or after. I dont remember exactly. Well anyway maybe I will repost them. There were a few I didnt post so maybe this aftenoon when my 2 year old is sleeping I will do that. Take care and I will stop by again and see whats new. Tweets.
The water is broken!
You're so right, now I have two classy sisters ;) Oh, hell, I guess if you count eclectic, I have three. She's mostly classy ;) xxx
Tweets, thanks! Please do post your pictures. I'd love to see them.
Um, Bone, I think you have this blog mixed up with Effie's. ;)
Susie, get all four of us together and we're quite the classy act. ;D
wowza! I have to say these are more than spectacular--these are "make your own calendar or get them put up in an art gallery" fabulous!
The glistening of the sun on the frozen lake--stunning!
I have to agree with everyone.I have mine posted for you all to see. Nothing as spetacular as this but there up. Tweets
My bad.
Tweets, thanks! I'll come over and check them out.
Bone, that's quite alright. As long as I didn't look like I was pregnant. :)
Now THAT'S some cold weather. I think I'm gonna quit complaining about being chilly now.
Effie, oops, I didn't mean to miss you here. Thanks, that's so sweet. I really might make a calendar one of these days. :-)
Lynn, yeah, we've been warmer than usual most of the year this year so I guess I can't complain too much when it gets cold like this. Especially when I can pretty views like these.
WOW. Those are stunning shots! Also, give the Buckster a hug for me, will ya?
Kalki, thank you. So nice to see you here. I will definitely give Bucky a hug from you. :)
