Contributing to the delinquency of a puppy

You all know Annie, Ichabod's parents' dog. Well, what you didn't know is that Ichabod's mother, I'll call her MIL, is starting her on bad habits at an early age.

One night Annie was just sniffing around by MIL.

So, MIL wondered what Annie would think of beer.

Does this look like a tease to you? I think it does.
DSCN1392

She's getting interested.
DSCN1395

Here comes her first taste.
DSCN1397

"Hey, this stuff's pretty good!"
DSCN1399

I don't know if you can tell from this small view here, but she's starting to spill a bit.

Now that she's got a little puppy buzz going, she's ready to take down Ichabod.
DSCN1416

"Ha! I have him down!"

Oops, who's got whom now?

Defeated and pooped pup.

And now for some gratuitous sunrise pictures. All pictures, including Annie's silkiness can be enjoyed in the large size by clicking on the picture and choosing All Sizes.

Danielle,, isn't she a pretty girl? But, then I'm prejudiced. And I learned telling stories with pictures from you. :)

I drink beer sometimes, but I prefer wine, and margaritas occasionally. And, no, definitely NOT together.

My Dad hooked our dog on champagne when he was about that age. Hairry comes running when he hears the top pop off.

****wolf whistle****

Brizzy's jealous of the beer. He wants Annie to lick him instead. She's gorgeous! And Ich's not bad, either. Lucky Squirl!! **wink wink, nudge nudge**

Squirl, remember Charlie? The cocker spaniel who got a quart of Miller beer every year for his birthday?

That dog could drink. Remember the day he got into my 151 rum and passed out in front of the speakers?

Annie is a doll; I will have to meet her sometime.

tshsmom, I had a friend who used to give his cocker spaniel a quart of Miller's High Life on the dog's birthday. Dogs seem to like to get a buzz on. :)

Eclectic, Annie would definitely love to meet Brizzy. She'd choose him over beer any day. And yes, I am the lucky Squirl. ;)

Bucky, I didn't see your comment before I mentioned Charlie up above. I had forgotten that he got into our Mai Tais that day. How he could've slept through the chimes and bells on Dark Side of the Moon must've meant that he was really out of it. I hope you do get to meet Annie some day. She is a sweetie.

What happens when the dog's innards starts to form it's own micro brewery and then litters the lawn with foamy poo?

I had no idea dogs liked beer. I see trouble. Drinking and barking. Drunk fetching. Panting under the influence.

Uh oh...now I'm gonna stalk your pictures over here instead of just on Flickr :-)

I love your pictures but it's nice to read the commentary you put along with it.

So if you don't mind, I'm gonna make myself comfy and start going through your archives. If you do mind, then I'm sorry....I'm STILL going to go through your archives (Moto said I could and you wouldn't try to tell HIM no, now would you?) ;-)

Wow, beer out of a glass - you guys are classy!

When I was a kid and our golden was about Annie's age she used to lay under the bar stools resting her chin on the footbars. It looked so uncomfortable, but she would sleep there for hours!

Kranki, yup, it's all downhill for the girl from here on out.

Soozie, I would love for you to read my site. Of course, I'd never say no to Moto, either. :)

Ern, MIL likes her beer from a mug that's been in the freezer. It is better that way.
And I don't know how dogs or cats can comfortable in some of those stupid positions.

Naughty naughty Annie! She's such a cute pup too--but a bit young for beer!

Chia, she tried to be a dainty little thang.

Effie, yeah, 5 months is a little young to start drinking. So starts a life of ruin.

I just love the Annie pictures she is a doll. Mateo and Annie could have a great time . . . he had a taste of John's and really liked it, liked it too much. Squirl you keep posting those sunrise pictures they are gorgeous!

Thanks, August! Actually, this is the first up-close pic of Ichabod. She does look hungover, doesn't she?

Ladybug, thanks! I was beginning to wonder if anyone was able to get past all the cuteness to see the sunrise pics. :)

Lawbrat, thank you.

Nina, funny how dogs like beer. Mateo's smaller than Annie, that must hit him really hard and fast. I'll bet those two would have a blast playing together. I'm glad you like the sunrise pictures. Sometimes I wonder if people are getting bored with them. Thanks!

I was thinking it was the first close-up of the Bod of Ich myself. Please, ask him what his feelings are regarding "foamy poo, foamy poo".

Mr B, now you know what Mr Squirl looks like. :)

I asked him your question. He says he thinks it would be very good for the lawn.

The sunrise pictures are great! I must say that I had to leave home at 3:50 a.m. this morning and saw the sunrise here. It was extremely picturesque. Too bad I always forget to carry my camera.

Regarding the contributing to Annie’s delinquency, about 30 years ago I went to NYC with my friend, Angus. We stayed with his aunt, which was good because one of the writers of the musical “HAIR” lived in the same apartment building and we obtained great tickets to the show.

However, Angus’ aunt had a dachshund who had a litter of suckling puppies. The aunt was, uh, a, uh, heavy drinker and the second night we stayed in her apartment she decided to share some of her prized Scotch with us.

After she had retired—and left the Scotch with us two college kids—Angus decided that he should share the booze with the dogs. I was against it, figuring (1) booze is not made for dogs and (2) canine systems are not made for booze.

Of course, Angus, being very Scottish was also very bull-headed and poured some of the Scotch into a glass ashtray and put it on the floor. All of the dogs, including the pups, lapped it up.

Angus was very pleased with himself until the next morning when, on his way to the bathroom, he put his bare feet into several piles of dog shit and dog vomit. I think someone learned a lesson that night—and I don’t just mean the hung-over dachshunds.

God, don't feed your dogs beer. It's hard enough to distinguish them from men already.

Chia, well, you're right. He is kinda on the tall side.

Nick, I've seen dogs and cats drink a little beer or wine before, very little usually. And that's normally fine. Little puppies like that should never drink, especially Scotch for goodness sake. And so cool that you got to see Hair!

Nilbo, at least dogs will still cuddle.

Kyoooooo-ette! We had a dog in the 70's that used to get smashed - she'd visit the local taverns and the patrons would feed her beer and she'd come home, drunk and farty.

Annie's too much of a lady to do that.

And beautiful sunrise pictures!

Jim, Annie is definitely too much of a lady for that. Now if there were loads of people waiting to pet her and tell her how pretty she is, well, she couldn't resist. Thanks!
