Alaska Vacation Part 2
The next day, Monday, we drove from Montana through Idaho and into Washington. I was anxious about getting to the right place at the right time to meet Eclectic. I was pleasantly surprised that we did! She saw us and helped us find a good parking place. Then we had lunch at a wonderful public house. After that we took some pictures outside.
Then it was off to meet the little Eclectics. We all went to a gorgeous park. Of course she would take me where there were flowers. :-)
You know I had to take pictures.
Everyone, except Mr E.
We did, finally, meet up with Mr E for dinner. I forgot to get pictures of the whole group. My bad.
The next morning Eclectic met us for coffee.
And, after checking with Sears about an issue in the front end of the van, we took off for Canada. We got as far as William's Lake that night. The next day, Wednesday, has loads of pictures, so I think I'll save that for the next post. Here is the set for this post.
I have to say that I'm sooooo glad we stopped to meet Eclectic. She's not only sweet, but she's very smart and witty. Everybody should go meet her.

Wow, Squirl, great photos! The color is outstanding—almost as if one is there. Please keep them coming! I realize you still haven’t yet arrived in Alaska, so there must be tons more to share.
*wants coffee*
Nice log!
Nick, thanks! Yes, there are plenty more which is why I decided to stop the post here. Isn't Eclectic just adorable?
Mr B, that latte's really pretty isn't it. Almost as cool as the log. :-)
I love them there fancy latte designs. And I wanna go visiting bloggers too, durn it!

How fun! Your photos are wonderful. I can't wait to see the rest of your trip.
Bucky, visiting bloggers is lots of fun. Well, at least it has been so far. You need to meet your internet seestors.
MD, thanks! Nice to see you here.
Laurie, thanks! I hope it doesn't take me another full week to get the next post up. :-)
Beautiful. Are you home then?? Or are you still traveling? Looks like you had a great time up to this far.
Ooh I am so jealous! I'd love to meet all of you. In fact, when I win the lottery I think I'll have to plan a trip across the States to meet up with all my blogfriends... Oh and wonderful, wonderful pictures as always!
Two wonderful women and three beautiful children and flowers too. Who could ask for more? Wonderful photos keep them coming.
Yay! More stories to go with the pictures. :-)
I love when they make designs in coffee drinks. Such a fun surprise.
Tweety, we're home now. I'm just taking a long time to get the posts up. And it was a wonderful time!
Platypus, that would be so great if you could come over here and meet everyone. Too bad the country's so big to get us all together. But I hope you can meet a good-sized percentage. But, I suppose, if you win the lottery you can pay for some peoples' tickets. Thanks!
Nina, yes, and then there's also Ichabod who's behind the camera for the pictures of Eclectic and me. Thanks!
Danielle, yes, I'll have to get to the rest of the stories soon. Isn't that coffee pretty?
Lovely lovely lovely. The photos, the flowers, the story, the two of you together.
Awwww... come back. I miss you!
htgt, thanks! It was so much fun. If only we could coordinate so everyone had the time, money, and health to get together some place for a couple of days.
Eclectic, I miss you, too. You can come over here now.
That was quite a trip and take your time posting. I know how busy everyone gets. Now its just making plans for us to meet sometime since actually we are only one state apart.LOL...
Look at all the redheaded goodness. And the lush green grass. And the fancy lattes. What a great visit!
Great photos of great folks.
Did you see the YPS!! gnome lurking in the woods?
I don't know if bears shit in the woods, but the gnome does.
Tweety, I know, just one state and one or two Great Lakes. :-)
Kranki, it was a great visit, short, but a lot of fun.
Bone, thanks! I didn't see the gnome, but I'll bet that whose shit I stepped in.
Damn it, Squirl, I just left a comment on Eclectic’s blog without reading the other comments and after it posted I found your comment is immediately before mine and I’m asking the same question you asked. Are we psychically linked to one another?
And, as long as I’m here, (I ain’t rushin’ ya but) when do we see Part III of North to Alaska?
It looks like you crammed a lot of fun into a whirlwind trip!
I'm patiently waiting for mountain pictures. ;)
Nick, we must be linked somehow. Is it the Louisville thing?
:-)
I hope to get my act together soon for part III.
thshsmom, yes we did. There will be mountain pics, most definitely!
