Photos from my Summer Solstice
Well, of course I took pictures on Wednesday. First are the pictures from a friend's yard.
This rose had some rust on the edges, but it was so beautiful otherwise that I took the picture anyway.
Here's another rose. As you can see, there was quite a good rain that day.
Then a big, lovely clematis.
And she found that there were five baby bluebirds in the bluebird house. They're a little easier to see if you check out the large version.
Then, after I got home, Ichabod and I took a walk around town.
And I even found wildflowers in town. :)

Awww, I love the baby birdies pictures!
Great pictures as usual Squirl
I hope you and Ichabod have a fantastic weekend!
Thanks, Soozie! I remember baby birds in the next on your site, too. :)
Lovely pics, Squirl. I really like the ones of the flowers with the raindrops on them.
But shame on you! Posting photos of your clematis online! Your dirty girl!
(Hee. Sorry. Couldn't resist. :)
Hahahahaha, Ladybug. I just can't help showing my clematis when, IMHO, it's so gorgeous. ;)
Thanks, I love to get pictures of flowers when there are water drops on them.
Wow, as always great pictures! Ladybug made me laugh out loud with her comment about your clematis. :)
Nina, thanks! And that's one of the many reasons that we love Ladybug. :)
Hope you're having a wonderful birthday today!
Once again, you demonstrate a true penchant for photography. I'm going to start calling you Squirl-Bob (Ansel) Adams.
Wonderful photographs, Squirl! Thanks! That first one of the rose is astonishing. I really need to find the time to plant and care for a rose garden.
Jim, I'd be honored with that moniker! Thanks. You know, if you keep that up you're going to be inundated with more photos. :)
Nick, thanks! I wish I could grow roses like that, too. Thank goodness I have a friend who shares her garden with me.
Sweet peas and angry three-eyed gato's are my favorites ;).
kittn, I'm glad you found the three-eyed kitty in there. I wondered if anyone would.
You take great pictures, you shuold do it for books or paper
Totally enjoyed the tour!
Since I have (the dreaded) dial-up service, I went and watered my plants while your pictures downloaded, and came back in to a nice surprise on my screen!
Sierrabella, I always wonder about the folks who use dial-up. Thanks for hanging in there!
Eddie, thanks!
Oh Baby birds. The Summer solstice was incredible this year. Thanks for the nature on such a natural day.
I wanna take a walk with you! Great pix! FIVE baby bluebirds?! Whoa! That's a wholelotta babies for one nest. Glad you celebrated the season, Squirly. Love you, sis!!
August, I'm glad you had a good solstice, too! You're welcome. :)
Eclectic, I wish you could. That would be fun. Yes, those baby birds are really packed in. Love you, too, sis!
That peach colored rose is just gorgeous. What a pretty, pretty flower.
The other photos are nice too. Looks like you had a good walk to celebrate the first day of summer. :-)
Thanks, Danielle, most of that day was just great!
Lazy Lightning, welcome! I'm glad you liked the flower picture. Thanks!
Bone, isn't that flower cool? I'm glad was able to get a shot of it. And you and the gato liked the cat, too. :)
Honestly, Squirl, your walks never cease to interest me.
As always, beautiful flower pictures. I am partial to the clematis myself.
What is with the three eyed thing on that door?
Very creepy.
And I am guessing "Alumin8" is a club?
Thanks for the wonderful walk pictures again.

Now that I read through all the comments:
AHAHHHAHAHAH
Thanks for the laugh about the clematis.
The flowers in town, are they Sweet Pea's? Pretty! Loved the walk! And the top rose was lovely!
Bone, yup! Betcha it did. :)
Amber, thanks! And yes, my clematis usually gets people laughing. It's gonna give me a complex. :)
Effie, yes, sweet peas. Thanks!
Thanks again for lettin' me fart on - I mean sleep on your couch all weekend. And for the ice cream!
I'm not trying to start anything, but kranki's over there calling you a "nut slut"! (You didn't hear it from me.)
These pictures are wonderful. I love the cat face on the door.
Bucky, you're so welcome. Now I think I'll go air out the sleeping bag that I let you use.
Susie, I caught that slander over there. Thanks for helping uphold my reputation as "not a slut, nut or otherwise." ;)
Thanks! And isn't that cat face weird???
your photos are incredible! especially like the three eyed cat
GWB, thanks. That picture is on a building that appears to be vacant.
Bone, I know. I'm surprised it's still there.
Bone, it's all in the spin.
