I've had Photoshop Elements 4 for quite some time, but I haven't really learned how to use it. My lovely sister, Bucky, gave me a lesson this morning. Here are the pictures I ended up with.
Those are great! I don't know what the different effects are called, but that first one looks like a picture put together from all the little circles in a hole-puncher.
Mr B, I still don't know much, but I do hope to get better at it. As far as price goes, I wouldn't buy the full copy. Elements works great and is less than $100.
Chia, yeah, I can't afford that edition either. ;-)
Coolio! But I don't even find time to TAKE pictures, let alone edit them. I'll leave it to you and Bucky, and be glad you post the results for my viewing pleasure. :)
I really like the first one. And Jenski's description of it is just perfect. I couldn't put my finger on it, but once I read her comment, I knew that is what it reminded me of.
I use photoshop for school, but I am still so bad at trying to do any effects. I just know the basics of cropping/labeling/resizing/layering.
Danielle, I had to go back to ask my sister how to work with two pictures at once. And she's self trained. Seems like I could learn it better if I would just work at it. Thanks! :-)
Wow they look great.....I have elements photoshop, and couldn't figure out how to use it...and I would love to reload it and try againg, but I lost the envelope with the number that I have to type in.....I don't know if they can get me another one or not, but I love those photo programs.... I have Photo Explosion and Corel Paint Shop Pro.....they do about the same thing, but I still would love to get back into elements... it usually takes me a year or two to realize that the program I couldn't understand, was pretty simple......have a great day, and start making cards with those pictures.....they are great....judy

Jenski, I see what you mean. The effect is something like an impressionist brush. It was fun.
I use Paintshop Pro only. Mostly 'cause I be poor, but still does a great majority of the Photoshop stuff and allows me a certain rebel sensibility.
Happy editing.
Cool, now you can airbrush off all my stretch marks :-P
Aw shucks, that's right, that only comes with PS God Edition. Darn.

Those are very pretty Squirl.. You are a natural. I love the glass look affect next to the one.
Isn't Photoshop a blast? Now you can see why I spend so much time giggling over the computer. ;)

Tweety, thanks!
Bucky, yes, I understand a whole bunch now. Thanks!
Eclectic, some sisters have to have real jobs that help people. The rest of us play in Photoshop.
:-)
Oh wow, wow, wow! That is soooo cool!
Cool! Looking forward to seeing more. :)
Beautiful. Squirl! I received Photoshop Elements 6 as a birthday present last month and still haven’t really figured it out.
Laurie, thanks! :-D
Ern, I hope I can remember the lessons so far. I've already forgotten part.
Nick, it was pretty much Greek to me. Bucky knows her way around, though.
The only thing I can do well with Photoshop is crop. Z says he'll show me how to superimpose when I have the time.
tshsmom, I'm not sure when you're going to have time. But you'll probably have fun when you do.
