Speaking of frogs...

Last Saturday I had gone over to a friend's house to visit. We'd decided to do some shopping. We had been out for quite a while and had one more stop we wanted to make.

As I pulled my car into the parking space I thought I saw something light-colored on my dark console. When I got a good look at it I gave out a small, involuntary shriek, which is not like me at all. There was a gravel-colored frog with suction cup fingers crawling up my console. I'm so glad I was parking.

We got out and shooed him out of the car with a DVD I'd just gotten. I'm still not sure how he got in or where he was hiding all that time. I give an extra look around my car, still, before I get in now.

I think the DVD was Pee Midget, Pee!

Well, come one. Anal Biker Chicks used to be my standard answer, but that's so old school.

Er, make that come on, not come one.

Unless I were to say, come one, come all, come on.

What you didn't kiss it to see if he turned in to a handsome prince. Most frogs are pretty cute, but I wouldn't of kissed it either. ;)

Gaah! OK, I like frogs -- in their own habitat, NOT in my car!

Mr B, it was Ray AKA Magnolia. Just for you.

Bucky, sorry to burst your DVD bubble but I just got it from Blockbuster. I don't think they have a "back room" there.

Nanini, I guess kissing wasn't quite as high on my list as getting it out of the car.

Eclectic, exactly! I was a bit embarrassed by my initial reaction but that still didn't mean that I wanted it to stay. What if it'd crawled on me or, worse, gotten squished under gas pedal or something. Ick!

Seeing Critters OUTside your car are one thing.
"Oh neat! Look at the cool frog! WOW! Take a look at those suction cups on his feet! ... wonder if I can get a picture of it? No, NO! Don't run away! It's only a camera. It won't hurt you!"

But critters INside your car?!

"Get out! Get OUT!" *pause while frantically waving DVD*
"And DON'T COME BACK you ugly ol thing!"

August95, yes, I am sooo glad I wasn't out on the highway. Oh, and there was lots of good music on, um, Magnolia. :-)

Danielle, exactly! Do not invade my space. I don't want to hurt you but also don't want you climbing around or ON me.

*shiver*

I'm glad you were parking, too. I probably would've had a wreck if I'd seen that thing while I was driving.

Hi, Ladybug, I certainly would've been parking in a hurry. Hopefully, without incident. :-)

He was probably one of the frogs from your workplace... and you put him out in a strange environment!
Maybe that was his plan, though.

Song, it's not as much the slimy, as the wiggly that gets me. It's the same reason that I can't take a fish off a hook. Ick!
