Flowers again!

I am very out of practice taking pictures of flowers. Summer's coming and I must get back into practice. One of the groups at work brought an amaryllis in. I've been watching it for a few days and saw that two of the flowers had opened. Time to get some practice in. So they're not perfect pictures, but the flowers are still lovely.

I'm sure there's more to it, but my first thought was diarrhea.
Rascal diarrhea?

I'm glad you like the flowers. Only you could connect flowers and diarrhea, rascally or otherwise. Mine is topiwdif. Tell what the heck that is.

Lawbrat, I wish it meant spring. These flowers remind me more of Christmas presents. Thanks!

Chia, these were under some cool spotlights but they were up too high. When we moved them down the lighting sucked. Thanks!

And how's this one? dtdbkape

Squirl - dtdbkape: Dated Back Ape

I don't know what that is, but there ya go.

Mine is "xejrxr". Ze jerkser.

Whatever...

Anyway. The flowers are beautiful. We are seeing some sun and melted snow with green grass underneath here in Minnesota. It's wonderful. (But still cold. bleh.)

And Danielle is always telling me to wear a coat. I never do. Am I crazy, or what?

I love the color of the amaryllis. Beautiful red.

Thanks for the bit of spring!

Very pretty - I've never tried to grow one but everyone says they're not difficult. Great photos, classy sister!

Lawbrat, I thought yours looked like shut-up, but with an Italian accent to eeet.

Squirl, the flowers are lovely. I always think I know what an amarylis looks like, and then I see a photo of one and realize that there are some really amazing varieties out there. That one has an extra layer of petals, I think. So pretty. I saw these on Flickr and kinda rubbed my hands with glee over the flowers.

:-)

As for my word, it looks like Ladybug Nine Women to me... with your lips sewn shut while you say it.

Or maybe Love Nine Women (with a head cold that prevents you from pronoucing the V in Love, properly).

Nine women... nine women... lessee there's Squirl and Ladybug and Amber... (*ahem* and YES I remind you to wear your coat because you sit in my car shivering for 5 minutes until it warms up enough to put out a decent amount of heat).

;-)

Mr B, go back to sleep for a while. We'll let you know when it's time to wake up and start sneezing.

Operagal, so glad you enjoyed the flowers. And, young lady, are suggesting I post squirrel porn? For shame...

Amber, dated back ape, huh? Some of these word ver. are pretty funny today. And Danielle's right. You live in Minnesota, you need a coat in January. :-) Thanks
Mr BJ???

Jim, thanks! They aren't too hard to grow and they are such a gorgeous flower. Hot bottom tea, huh?

JDR, thanks!

Danielle, thanks! My flower friend. And I love both of your word verifications. Of France!!!!

Effie, going to Bucky's site might be dangerous to ones mental health. But isn't that why we all go there?

Yes, of course you may use this picture. I'm flattered.

How about this one? izrocf

Effie, you were only off by one letter. It's funny because I just spelled that one from memory and today I double-checked myself.

These word verifications are startin' to get a little skirry. :-)

Anyway. Maybe I should wear a coat, eh?

It is pretty cold outside.

Fine. You guys win. But only because you post pretty flower pictures.

This is very inspiring. Someone gave me an amaryllis bulb for Christmas. Procrastinator that I am, I just planted it last week. It is growing, but I'm hoping for a bloom around Valentine's Day. I'll take pix!

Mmmmmmmm -- that's pretty. But I admit to an involuntary flinch at the suggestion of Christmas again so soon...

Amber, you're really having fun with the w.v. Of France, those were the days.

Danielle, I wonder if she'll do a book. She's certainly got enough material. And enough people who'd buy a copy. And now maybe Amber will be wearing a coat. :-)

Susie, by waiting you will be the only with one a Valentine's Day amaryllis. We want to see the pictures.

Eclectic, I'll try not to mention the C word, (that's CHRISTMAS, Bucky!) for at least six more months. Will that help?
I was playing with the puppy tonight. Ichabod's nephews were there to wear her out, too. They're five and four and she couldn't get enough of them.
