I have internet again!

I was really bummed that we didn't have internet at our hotel yesterday. We took a bunch of backroads through Utah and the scenery was breathtaking. It wasn't picture-taking for me, though. Never even felt like pulling it out.

Then today we were on major highways and have now made it to Lincoln, NE. I'm tired, but I wanted to put something out here. I also might do a little more surfing. I was without internet since around 9 am yesterday. Just. Too. Long.

So you located a hotel that’s not yet into the age of the Internet? I don’t know whether to say “I’m sorry” or to ask for its location. I seem to remember how much healthier I was prior to spending so many hours sitting at a computer keyboard.

Be safe. Blessings on your travels.

Hey, Jim, I just left a comment on your site. BTW, the last site I'm going to tonight as I can't keep my eyes open.

Nick, thank you for the blessings. I might need them as I'm meeting up with Bucky and Jess tomorrow before the last leg of the trip home. :)

This hotel was just as we were coming out of the "wilderness" of backroads in Utah. I have to quit now, though, as, after 12 hours on the road today, I desperately need sleep.

OK, forgive my juvenile sense of humor... Did you say you're in Lincoln? Did you eat at Valentino's?? I haven't been back since I graduated, but I still think fondly of Val's. Mmmmm!

Lincoln, NE . . . did you come through Colorado? It was really windy here yesterday and that makes travel hard. Hope your journey continues safe as you head home.

Glad to hear your driving is going well. How wonderful that you got to see such great scenery on part of your drive!

And glad to have you back, of course. :-)

Poor you. I hope you are doing better.

Traveling always wears me out beyond extreme.

Have a good time relaxing and you'll be home soon enough. ;)

Eclectic, never felt like pulling out or like pulling IT out? Seems like there's a bit of a difference there. :)
And each night that we stopped it was late, we were tired, and we didn't go out anywhere.

Mr B, his feet are still there. In fact, he drove home barefoot, keeping his sandals next to him for when he had to get out of the car.

CK, thanks! We made it home, safe and sound, late night. And we definitely have internet here. :)

Nina, yes we did go through CO. It was very, very windy through Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska. There were some crazy dust storms that we went through. Of course, we also went through a bit of a snow storm through Vail, too.

Danielle, thanks! I was tired so I just didn't feel like taking pictures, but man was Utah gorgeous. And I'm glad to be back.

Effie, you're right about not having internet. I can't believe how disconnected that feels. I'm glad I'm back online, too. :)

Bucky, and boy did we have sushi. There wasn't that much left over. Did you have to share any with the cats? I'm glad we got to stop by, too. Hermione sure likes Ichabod. He thought she was cool, too.

Amber, it's weird how driving (actually, sitting and navigating in my case) really can leave you tired. Especially after a twelve hour day. I'll be happy to not have to look at a map for a while, though.

Kalki, there were no hotels in that little with wireless internet. If it hadn't been such a long day I might've gone on to the next town, just for internet. I don't know what I did without it.

Effie, can you believe that I was tired of taking pictures? There is no photographic evidence of the meeting up with Bucky and Jess. And who can NOT think about Oprah's whatever? (thanks bucky)

Chia, by the time you commented we had eaten sushi, petted cats and been licked and almost knocked over by dogs. In fact, we were probably just through downtown Chicago when you commented.

We had thought about staying another night on the road, but really, 12:30 is not a ridiculous time to get home.

And now, back to laundry.

Yes, the wind was awful here, but we are back to normal today. They said the mountains were getting snow . . . hope there wasn't too much of it. Glad you are home safe. Now you need a vacation from the vacation. Dang laundry. :)

Nina, well it's good to know that it's not always so windy over there. That would be terrible.

But the laundry isn't as bad as it could be since we had a washer and dryer while in Sedona. Best of both worlds: a great house where we could "live" while also being in a beautiful tourist area away from home.
