Traveling

I found out that it's worth it to get up at 2:00 am on a Saturday morning for a flight home. On the Sunday that I went to Madison, I left on a plane at 4-something in the afternoon. Both flights were packed. However, coming home on a 6:00 am flight, I had room to spare on both planes. Much more relaxing. And, even with the hour's time difference, I was still on the road home before 11:00 am.

Here are some pictures I took in Madison, WI. They're of Lake Mendota.

I realize this isn't the lake. But it is right on the lake. It's a dorm. I should have known this from all of the bicycles there.

I love the perspective on the photo with the path/road that curves to the left. That's very cool!

Nice photos Squirl-Bob!

*thinks that castle is identical ones to the inflatables you see at kid's birthday parties, only not as soft*

Mr. B, that castle is definitely not soft! But I was totally fascinated with it the time I went up there. Madison is a kick-ass town!

Do you know what the building is used for? Or any of the history of it?

Thanks, Susie. It's such a nice city.

Jim, I liked that one, too. Thanks!

Mr B, it's definitely not soft. :-)

Bucky, we would've had fun if you'd been able to come along.

Tweety, I did have fun. Well, after a full of classes anyway.

Eclectic, thanks! The weather was perfect.

Courtney, I don't know what it's for. Tomorrow night I might see someone from that town. I'll see if I can get that info.

Great shots, as usual, Squirl. I like the lake but I am most impressed by the shot of the dorm.

What a great building for a dorm! It reminds me of a house that I saw on Lake Michigan in Evanston. Really cool.

I know you adjust the colors on your photos to bring out the blues more. It really works for these photos. It makes them really pretty. :-)

Danielle, that is a cool building. And what's cool about these pictures is that I didn't have to do much at all to adjust the colors. Some days the lighting is just perfect!
