What number are you?
Here's one I found at Sometimes Saintly Nick's place. I believe this comes from the Enneagram. My aunt introduced me to this a number of years ago.
Then, when I took this simple little test it came up with the same number for me that we'd figured out. It's fun, you should try it.

I'm the same as you. Number Two. (No potty humor, please.)
Dan seems to think this is accurate for me:
Number 1, The Reformer:
You're a responsible person - with a clear sense of right and wrong.
High standards are important to you, and you do everything to meet them.
You are your own worst critic, feeling ashamed if you're not perfect.
You have uncompromising integrity, and people expect you to be fair.
At Your Best: You are hopeful, honest, and inspiring. You bring out the best in humanity.
At Your Worst: You are intolerant, judgmental, and picky.
Your Fixation: Resentment
Your Primary Fear: Being corrupt.
Your Primary Desire: To be good.
Other Number 1's: Al Gore, Martha Stewart, Gandhi, Celene Dion, and Spock from Star Trek.
I'm a #2 too!
At least according to this test ;-)
I’ve now taken this one three times: twice I came out as a 9 and once as a 2. I suspect 2 (Helper) & 9 (Peacemaker) are closely related.
Susie, I wondered how many in our group would end up as the Helper. It doesn't surprise me one bit that you're a 2. Now, if you were a 1 I'd say that was a brainy idea. :-)
Courtney, that doesn't surprise me, either. You are one for causes. You do have high standards. I think you're on the high, healthy side.
SoosieQ, ah, another Helper! Sounds right, there, too. Thanks for playing.
Nick, you know, when I read the Riso book and the unhealthy side of 2, I didn't want to be one at all. They're pretty scary. I can definitely see you as a 9. Nines have the ability to pick up something from every other number, and 2 would fit that.
You were right, I came out a 4, The Individualist. I'm on a list with Johnny Depp, so you won't hear me complaining:
You are sensitive and intuitive, with others and yourself.
You are creative and dreamy... plus dramatic and unpredictable.
You're emotionally honest, real, and easily hurt.
Totally expressive, others always know exactly how you feel.
At Your Best: You are inspired, artistic, and introspective. You know what you're thinking, and you can communicate it well.
At Your Worst: You are melancholy, alienated, and withdrawn.
Your Fixation: Envy
Your Primary Fear: To have no identity
Your Primary Desire: To find yourself
Other Number 4's: Alanis Morisette, Johnny Depp, J.D. Salinger, Jim Morrison, and Anne Rice.
Bucky, after I thought about it, you did seem more like a four. That's what our aunt was hoping she was. You're in with Johnny Depp, Jim Morrison, and Anne Rice. How can you go wrong with that?
It gave me a number two.
But then I took it two more times and got six both times. So I guess I am a 2/6
You Are 6: The Loyalist
You have strong relationships and are intensely loyal.
People find you easy to love and care for.
You like your world to be stable and secure, no surprises.
You're cautious. You prefer your inner circle to the outside world.
At Your Best: You are courageous, a positive thinker, and expressive. You can take on the world.
At Your Worst: You are secretly insecure - which makes you sarcastic, cold, and argumentative.
Your Fixation: Doubt
Your Primary Fear: Abandonment
Your Primary Desire: Security and support
Other Number 6's: Mel Gibson, Woody Allen, Jay Leno, Marilyn Monroe, and Julia Roberts.
I am number 4.
Your Primary Fear: To have no identity
Your Primary Desire: To find yourself
Other Number 4's: Alanis Morisette, Johnny Depp, J.D. Salinger, Jim Morrison, and Anne Rice
Nina, 2 and 6 have a lot in common. They both like people. After reading about the very worst side of the 2 I was trying to fit myself into the 6. :-)
Either way, you're a sweetheart!
Tweety, I didn't know you ran so deep. :-)
I'm the same - #2.
No real surprise there.
I did have difficulty picking the answer some of the time - I was often debating between 2 of them.
4 - the individualist.
Danielle, I'm not surprised that you came up as a 2. Choosing between responses can be tricky. People are complex and no one is entirely one number. I'm glad you took this.
htgt, another 4! We seem to be, predominantly 2s and 4s around here. The 6 is really close to this. And we love Courtney because she's so principled and is her own person. :-)
This hit the spot pretty well though on finding myself. I have done that just recently.
Squirly-Bob, we gotta stop meeting like this: I'm a two, too!! (But I don't do ballet.)
Tweety, very good. There are a lot of people who never find themselves.
Eclectic, my blog sisters are turning out to be 2s, well with a 2/6 thrown in. Thanks for the tutu chuckle. You're just too, too funny.
:-)
The same as you! :-)
I'm # 1 and the description is so accurate it is freaky.
Laurie, does not surprise me one bit! :-)
Kranki, somebody's gotta stand up for things, right?
As a 4, I'm not really keen on being grouped in with Alanis Morrisette and Jim Morrison.
I was really hoping to be a 13. It just sounds impressive.
Bone, thirteen sounds darker, more mysterious, more Halloweenish. But, a 4 is good.
