New life
No matter how lousy things are, no matter how long winter is, there is one thing that can really cheer me up. That would be new growth, new plants sprouting in my yard. Against all odds these wonderful little beings push up through the hard ground, snow, whatever else might be in their way. Such a wonderful example of pushing through all of the crap that life can throw at you and still be at your best.
Anyway, here are a few shots of my little green buddies. :-)

Little green buddies?
Oh, hon...do you need a cat? :)
Hi little green sproutlings :-)
Welcome to the domain of Ich!
Bucky, I don't have to clean a litter pan with my little green buddies. So, no, thanks, but no kittehs. ;-)
Chia, yes! Thanks for stopping by. I know you're really busy this weekend.
Are there little green cats to be had?
All of those spring flowers are coming up here too! They grow so fast you'll have blossoms before you know it.
Ah... Spring! I love it!! We've got sprouting things up over here, too. So full of hope and promise, eh? Sending love!
Jenski, why yes! And just in time for St Paddy's day. :-)
Can't wait for the flowers themselves.
Eclectic, hope and promise are good things. Thanks!!
I am looking for spring too really bad. We dotn have three feet snow banks anymore but still have snow and another six inches on the way. Yuckie.
I look outside today and we have a spring snow storm. So all I see is white, thanks for sharing your green buddies, on St. Paddy's day.
MMmmm, I can almost smell that warming soil from here!
The only thing that's popping up here, so far, is driveway gravel. Oh well, it's a start. ;)
Slainte, sistah!
How lovely. :-)
I was just thinking about tulips the other day and wondering if we had any sprouts yet. But I didn't trudge through the yard to see. Now, we have quite a bit of snow that fell overnight, and it will be a while until I can tell.
Here's to hoping that spring is coming soon!
It really is exciting to see the little guys popping up. The cherry blossoms have started blooming here. I feel better already.
Tweety, I'm sorry you guys had all of that snow. We're getting it in rain which is really good for my little green buddies. Maybe soon for you.
Nina, I don't think you guys had as bad a winter as you did the year before. Too bad you've got this snow now. And, yeah, little green buddies for St Paddy's day. :-)
tshsmom, you'll have flowers soon!
Bucky, Erin go Braless, sis!
Danielle, you should have flowers soon. Let me know when they're up.
Kranki, cherry blossoms, how cool!
Ah, I checked yesterday when the snow had melted. No luck yet. Everything looks like it is really into hibernation-mode.
Danielle, that was quite the snow that you guys got. I hope things are up soon for you.
Happy spring!
Bring your snow shovel and road salt. Psssssh.
Happy Benito Juarez's birthday to you and yours!

Yay spring!
The only other green thing I would be happy to see would be dollars... oh I am so ready for flowers....and warm weather.... I'd say Spring, but it's Spring and we are getting up to 6" of snow....hope you have a Happy Easter.....judy
Why thanks, Bone. Oh, and I'm not quite ready to push daisies yet.
;-b
Ern, well, it looked like Spring until yesterday. Like Judy said, we've got snow now. Yuck.
Judy, hi! Nice to see you. Driving in that snow yesterday really sucked! Happy Easter to you, too!
I certainly hope spring is here. However, it's snowing very hard now. No accumulation, but seeing by the streetlight the fluffy water falling makes me (and Alex) wonder when spring will come and stay.
Nick, these got covered by snow on Friday and are still covered. Now we're supposed to get some more snow tonight. Hope you guys didn't get any accumulation. Tell Alex to hang in there. Spring'll be here eventually.
