Pizza Night

Ichabod has gotten really good at making pizza. He makes the dough from scratch. Tonight he thought he'd try something different. He decided to precook the dough in the waffle iron.

The paperclip has nothing to do with making pizza. Not sure why it's in the picture.

We wondered if it would stick, but with the help of a little olive oil spray it came right out.

Then he put the toppings on and baked them for about 20 minutes. Here's the end result.

They were good and now I'm full. BTW, the music for the pizza making was the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. Everybody have a great weekend.

Despite being stuff on some loverly Chinese food, that looks pretty darn tasty. But did the "wells" like fill up with molten lava of cheese and sauce and like burn the crap outta yer mouth? Not that that's a bad thing or anything.

Mr B, yes, they did fill up with very hot cheese and sauce. I learned a long time ago to use a fork and let each bite cool a bit.

Bucky, he wasn't sure if it was really worth it to do that again, but I bet he'll try it. He had some ideas about what he'd do differently. He might want to try them out. I'll talk to him.

Tweety, I hope you're sleeping right now. :-)

and one more thing. Now that the pizza is perfected, is delivery available?

Ern, yes, it is. That way if someone wants anchovies it doesn't mess up anyone else's pizza experience.

Tweety, hope you made it to the zoo.

Danielle, he just thought of it while were instant messaging that day. Then he googled it, and there were other references. But I've only had his waffle pizza and it was good. Hard to say if it's better or not. He's always experimenting with the crust and toppings.

tshsmom, if you guys ever should be able to be in the area I'm sure I could get him to make pizza for you. :-)

Bone, I thought the paperclip was just trying to steal some dough. Hmm, how much of a tip would a delivery person get, going from Michigan to Kentucky???

*drools*

Whoops, sorry Squirl, I just drooled all over.

I bet that pizza dough was crispy and delicious.

Mmm..homemade pizza.

What kind of toppings do you generally like to have on pizza?

Lady M, they vary. It could be any of these: black olives, mushrooms (preferably fresh), peppers, garlic, onion, spinach, squash, zucchini, artichokes, tuna, mayo, various white or red sauces, different kinds of cheese.

There may be more but I can't think of them right now. :-)
