Living room is finally done
I finally finished painting the trim and the carpet was installed today. We decided not to finish the oak floor, way too much to clean up. Here are the promised pictures.
I love the perspective on this one. Looks like Ichabod was worn out from moving furniture. :-)
My sister thinks it looks like I done kilt him here. I like the color of the carpet. It's called Green Whisper. Didn't want it to shout green. If we'd picked the tan I think the room would have looked too yellow. This one worked well.
You can all the stuff we had to move so the carpet could be installed.
Getting things pulled back together, finally.
His chair.
My chair.
There you have it. I'm just glad it's finally done.

Great photo's. I like the colors you chose. Those are awsome. I need to replace the capeting in our livingroom sometime but not now. We have another project we are doing this weekend. We got cited by the city to do some chores we put off to long.. Yikes..
I'm glad you didn't kill him--that would have meant a real big mess on your nice new carpet! ;)
Loving the living room--my house is far too cluttered and now with yet another addition to the family on the way it just seems like we'll never get space!!
Loving the carpet type too--a nice feel on your feet!!
Tweety, thanks! Yeah, it's important to fix stuff that the city can see. :-)
Effie, congratulations! I'm glad you stopped by to say hello. We miss you around here. There's no way we could be uncluttered with kids, hard enough without.
And, yes, I'm loving the new carpet feel under my feet.
It looks great! A job well done.
I'm sure you will really enjoy it. I like sitting in a room where I have some evidence of a project that required hard work. Especially if it is artistic; then it gives me a glow inside. :-)
Lovely. Looks very calm and inviting. Enjoy it in good health.
It looks great! Must feel great to have it all put together again too.
I see you didn't move Ichabod to install the carpet.
Nice! Hope you're not too exhausted to enjoy it. ;)
Thanks for the great photos. I immediately thought that Ichabod looked like he was way too worn out and was crashing on the carpet. I like the colors and everything looks so fresh and new. I hope you are able to enjoy it now that it is all done and over with. :)
Hardwood floors can be pretty, but you can't beat carpet in the winter!
It's amazing how long a simple paint job can take, isn't it? Well worth it though...it's GORGEOUS!!
Danielle, thanks! I still love the room. Even though I hate doing the work I love knowing it's done and liking the results.
Susie, thanks! I wish you could visit to see how inviting it is.
Jenski, thanks, yes it does.
Bucky, we just rolled him around.
SME, we're enjoying hte heck out of it now. :-)
LadyM, thanks! We're enjoying it very much. :-)
thshmom, it will be much warmer this winter. You guys do so much work on your place that I know I'm just really lazy. But I'm still happy with the job. Thanks!
I love your living room and that picture of Ichabod is awesome! I think the carpet color is perfect.
