More flower pictures?
Doesn't Squirl ever run out of flower pictures? Doesn't she ever get tired of posting flower pictures? When did she start talking in third person???
Anyway, I've been busy and not posting very often. But, I'll say that gardening is one of my excuses. And, also, an excuse to put up a few more pictures.
I love this orange begonia. The color is really hard to capture, but I had to try anyway.
This is the first time I've had straw flowers. I should really cut some and bring them in before they go to seed. I'd like to see how long they really stay after cutting. Here we go with the orange again. :-)
And here's one of my new rose bushes. Ichabod really likes it as he's more used to single color roses.

They are beautiful. I have never seen another colored Rose bush either. I think you need to come help us make our yard pretty next year.. LOL..
I find it hard to photograph red flowers because of what they call the clipping effect, the same thing happens when you photograph white flowers in a sunny enviroment, the wash out of detail. I must learn to over come this.
Great pics though.
That rose looks like a Bob Michmerhuizen painting. :)
Tweety, thanks! We'll just have to see what you come up with for your yard next year. :-)
Sweeti, some colors are almost impossible to photograph properly. Thanks!
Bucky, I see exactly what you mean!
Orange is my favourite colour. I LOVE these photos.
Thanks, Kranki! I love orange, too. :-)
I had some straw flowers a few years ago, I loved them. I did take cuttings, but I don't remember how long they lasted. I think it was for quite a while.
You'd LOVE the rose bush my Boss has..it has blaze-orange blooms!
I love begonias, but for some reason, they don't love me. I just have the absolute worse time with them.
The straw flowers are prettier than I remember. I have this memory of them being in dried flower arrangements and not thinking much of them. But they look really pretty here.
The rose is interesting. It doesn't run to my taste in flowers, but it is nice that you both like it. :-)
Squirl, your flower photos have brought me a most enjoyable closing to my day. Thank you, my dear friend.
Courtney, I won't know now, because mine are dying. I don't know if I didn't water them enough or what. bummer
tshsmom>, I bet I would. Sounds gorgeous!
Danielle, so far the begonias are doing okay. I wish I could try bringing some in over the winter. The straw flowers are pretty cool when they're growing. It's funny because the petals feel stiff and fake when they're still on the bush.
Nick, I'm glad you enjoyed them. Thanks!
Very pretty flowers. Your garden must be lovely!
Naomi, thank you!
